The Galaxy S21 FE is a new ‘Fan Edition” from Samsung which comes with more aggressive pricing and similar specs as S21. It has a slightly larger 6.4-inch screen, 4,500-mAh battery, and the same Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 5G processor. Besides these, what other attractive features does the S21 FE have? Does it have the niche ones like IR blaster?
Does Galaxy S21 FE have IR blaster?

IR stands for “infrared”. The IR blaster port is usually on the top of the phone, enabling you to send commands via infrared rays to another device like TVs, air conditioners, cameras, etc. with IR remotes. For many old devices that don’t offer Bluetooth connections, you can still remote control them via IR blaster.
So does Galaxy S21 FE support IR blaster? The short answer is no, which means you can’t use your phone to control electronic devices. Actually, companies like Samsung have more or less ditched this feature, and you have to look elsewhere, especially from Chinese brands.
Does Galaxy S21 FE have NFC?

NFC, namely Near Field Communication, is a technology that allows you to make secure transactions, exchange digital content, and connect electronic devices with a touch. Different from Wi-Fi or Bluetooth, NFC transmissions are extremely short range from a touch to a few centimeters. Currently, almost all new smartphones come with this feature, and there is no exception for the Galaxy S21 FE.
You can use NFC on your S21 FE to make quick payments with Samsung Pay, or simply transfer data to another wireless device with Android Beam. To turn on NFC, go to Settings>>Connections>>NFC and contactless payments, then tap the switch and turn NFC on. Right below the switch on/off area, you can tap Contactless payments and select your preferred mobile payment service. Before using NFC, just access your quick settings and toggle NFC on.
The NFC detection area of Galaxy S21 FE is right in the middle on the back of the phone. Make sure you place the NFC detection area on the back of your device or an NFC card reader.
