  1. HDIM cable. This cable is used to connect the dock with TV so that the interface of the console will appear on TV.
  2. AC adapter. Since the dock needs power while working, the AC adapter, which connects the dock with wall outlet, will charge it constantly.

  1. The first thing you should do is to open the back cover of the Nintendo Switch Dock to find out the ports for connection. There are three ports which are labeled as AC ADAPTER, USB and HDMI OUT, so you should be careful and make no mistake while plugging in cables.
  2. After that, connect the USB plug from the Nintendo Switch AC adapter into the first port of the dock which is labeled as AC ADAPTER, then connect the other end of the AC adapter to a wall outlet. This is done to provide power to the console while you are playing.

  1. Now you should connect one end of the HDMI cable into the bottom port of the dock labeled as HDMI OUT and the other end to an HDMI port on your television. After that, close the back cover of the dock.
  2. The next step is to remove the Joy-Con controllers from the console. When you do this, be sure not to press the buttons, and if the Joy-Con controllers haven’t been attached to the console, register them first to the console so that you can use them wirelessly.
  3. Now you should insert the console into the dock. Make sure that the LCD screen of the console faces in the same direction as the front panel on the dock. Then turn the TV set on and select the correct HDMI input. After all of this, you can begin your journey of having fun!
