Following the Nord N10 and Nord N100, in 2021 OnePlus has got a whole-new budget handset called Nord N200. You’ll own it for less than $300 (only $239.9), the least expensive 5G phone yet. Despite some drawback like LCD panel and camera output, this smartphone is worth consideration for those who are budget-conscious and still want some premium features.
For me, one of the most attractive feature of OnePlus Nord N200 is its robust battery. With a 5,000mAh lithium-ion cell packed in the chassis and the Snapdragon 480 SoC, it seems the battery will last forever. Under the default 90Hz mode, the Nord N200 is capable of ten and a half hours. Setting it to 60Hz can make the period longer, but there won’t be a big difference. Besides, depends on personal habits from webpage surfing to video watching, the result may varies as well.
OnePlus Nord N200 is claimed to support fast charging, though it may not be as fast as you think. It supports 18W fast charging, which means you’ll get around 30% battery charge from zero after 30 minutes, and 100% after 75 minutes. Using a faster charger, like a 65W charger does not shorten the time. OnePlus has been known for its Warp Charge technology for years, which is able to fully charge your phone within a short time, without causing heat problems. Obviously Nord N200 doesn’t feature Warp Charge, but for the bright side, the similarly-priced Samsung Galaxy A32 5G supports only 15W charging for the same-sized battery.
