Does iPhone XS and iPhone XS Max Support 5G Network?

When will Apple and Andriod Phones Support 5G?

The new 5G service doesn’t necessarily make your downloads faster. Instead, it is designed to allow more devices to be networked and to reduce the amount of time that data is transferred from the phone to the network, which is what we call latency.

If you are single-mindedly waiting for Apple’s 5G iPhone, you should be mentally prepared. BGR published an article saying that if Apple really wants to launch an iPhone that supports 5G network, then at least until 2020. Apple always repeatedly test overaggressive updates, so it’s reasonable to be conservative in supporting the 5G network.

Huawei said that it will launch a 5G mobile phones in June 2019. Samsung claimed that the 5G mobile phones will be launched in March 2019. OPPO and Vivo also showed that 5G mobile phones will be launched in 2019, and relevant tests are being carried out. The actions of the terminal manufacturers show that everyone is preparing for the upcoming 5G era.

Should I Buy a 4G Phone or Wait for 5G to Come?

Since the current 4G mobile phones don’t support 5G network, the next generation 5G mobile phones need 5G baseband processor to support. Therefore, if you want to experience the 5G network, your smartphone must support 5G at first.
However, in view of the fact that 5G network commercial still needs to wait until the second half of 2019, it is expected that large-scale production of 5G mobile phones will be oriented to the mainstream consumer market in 2020. Generally speaking, the average service life of a smartphone is used for about 3 years. If your current 4G phone needs to be replaced, then there is no doubt to buy a new smartphone. Nevertheless, if the mobile phone that you purchased is no more than one year, it is better for you to wait for the 5 G mobile phones to come.
