Will Apple Drop Touch ID in the IPhone 8

Since there are a bunch of rumors about whether Touch ID will be dropped in the iPhone 8, you may easily get tired of reading these similar or same contents from different articles. Possibility 1

As some rumors suggest, Apple is likely to drop the Touch ID in the iPhone 8 but will replace it with some new recognition methods like facial recognition or iris recognition. Differ from some other rumors, this rumor seems to be more credible.Because there are multiple reports and some sources inside Apple that support the prediction. Their claimed schematics and sketches all illustrated a design without any space for a Touch ID sensor at the bottom of the screen.

Possibility 2

Some people predict that Apple won’t drop the Touch ID in the iPhone 8, and it will add new identification methods I mentioned in Possibility 1 to the phone. And if you think about this prediction, it will find it seems also kind of reasonable. Many iPhone consumers get used to use their fingerprint to authorize payments and think it is reliable and comfortable. But will they trust or willing to use the new identification methods as the Touch ID? I think it need a process for users to accept and get accustomed to the new identification.

Possibility 3

Apple won’t drop Touch ID sensor in the iPhone 8, but it will be moved to the back of the phone. That’s really easy for Apple to do, but also extremely lack of creativity. Since plenty of smartphone has already adopted such a design, it’s not fresh anymore. So an analyst suggested that Apple would prefer to delay the release date of the new iPhone so that there would be more time to solve the technical challenge of embedding the fingerprint reader. 

Possibility 4

It is rumored that Apple won’t drop Touch ID in the iPhone 8, but will embed it into the touch-screen display. Sounds pretty decent, right? But as I said in Possibility 3, Apple has to take time to solve the technical challenge. So we might have to wait for iPhone 8 longer if this rumor finally proved to be true.
