How to connect tablet to a Wi-Fi printer?

Connect your tablet to the same Wi-Fi as the printer connecting.

Enable Wi-Fi connection on the printer. Before you do any operation on your tablet, you have to enable Wi-Fi connection on the printer. Because different printers have different operating mode, it’s better for you to check the manual of your printer and learn how to enable Wi-Fi connection.

Check Wi-Fi connection on your tablet. Your tablet will automatically scan for wireless printers that are available through a Wi-Fi connection. You can check by tapping the Setting icon on home screen and then tapping Wi-Fi in the menu on the left side of the Setting screen.

Choose the Wi-Fi printer in the list to connect it. If the printer requires a password for you to use, you may need to get the password from the printer itself when you enable the printer’s Wi-Fi connection. If the printer doesn’t require a password, then you can connect directly. After your tablet connects to a printer, you will see “Connected” underneath the printer name in the Wi-Fi connections list.

Tips: 1. If your tablet doesn’t recognize the wireless printer, you may need to bring your tablet closer to the printer. 

2. If still cannot be connected, you can scan for the printer again by tapping Scan in the Settings menu bar that appears at the top of the screen. Or close and reopen Wi-Fi setting on your tablet.

How to connect tablet to a Bluetooth printer?

Enable Bluetooth connection on the printer. Before you do any operation on your tablet, you have to enable Bluetooth connection on the printer. Check the method from printer manual.

Check Wi-Fi connection on your tablet. Open the Settings window as you did for a Wi-Fi printer and then tap Bluetooth in the menu on the left side of the screen. A slider bar appears to the right of the Bluetooth entry in the menu. Turn on Bluetooth functionality by sliding the round button to the right.

Choose the Bluetooth printer in the list to pair it. After you turn on Bluetooth, you’ll see the name of your device in the My Device section on the right side of the screen. Your tablet will also scan for all available Bluetooth devices within range of it. Tap the printer name to begin the pairing process. The Bluetooth Pairing Request window appears. You will need to consult your printer documentation and/or the printer manufacturer’s website to find the PIN. After you type the PIN, tap the OK button in the window. Now you finish the connection.
