Will you expect the MSI RTX 4070 graphics card?

Last year, Nvidia has released its flagship desktop graphics cards – RTX 4090 and RTX 4080, which have attracted the attention of many consumers with their excellent performance. Recently, relevant media exposed MSI’s upcoming RTX 4070 graphics cards, which are GeForce and VENTUS models. These two graphics cards both adopt a three-fan design. The GeForce model has a slightly higher positioning and uses a 16-pin power supply. The VENTUS model has a lower positioning and uses a single 8-pin interface.

It was previously reported that Nvidia will provide two RTX 4070 solutions. Partners can choose the advanced model of 225W TDP and the standard model of 200W. The manufacturer’s suggested retail price of the standard version is currently about 4121 RMB.

The exposure of new products has made consumers pay more attention to the relevant specifications and performance of RTX 4070. According to previous reports, some of the specifications for the RTX 4070 graphics card have now been confirmed. The media said that Colorful is the first company to submit RTX 4070 non-Ti graphics card data to the GPU-Z database, which also means that this graphics card has been verified and tested in the laboratory and is expected to be released sometime this year.

The Nvidia RTX 4070 has a base frequency of 1920MHz and an acceleration frequency of 2475MHz, which is only 135MHz lower than the RTX 4070 Ti (the base frequency is 390MHz lower). In addition, the media also confirmed that Colorful’s RTX 4070 iGame Ultra White OC has an acceleration frequency of 2505MHz, which means that the non-public graphics card will be overclocked by at least 30MHz.

The RTX 4070 reference model is relatively small in size, with a width of 112mm, while the RTX 4080/4090 reference model is 137mm wide. According to this calculation, it is expected that the RTX 4070 will also use a 16pin power supply interface.

In terms of specifications, most people in the industry believe that the RTX 4070 will use the same AD104 GPU core as the RTX 4070 Ti, and there are two versions, AD104-250 and 251, with a peak power consumption of 200W TGP. NVIDIA said that thanks to NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture innovation and DLSS 3, the new GeForce RTX 4070 Ti GPU is 3 times faster than the RTX 3090 Ti, while the power consumption is almost half that. Delivers an incredible 12x performance boost over GTX 1080 Ti.
