iPhone 12 debuted along with a new Apple accessory, the Mag Safe Charger. Again, it isn’t packed in the box. You have to cost an extra $39 if you want to own it. However, there is a mass of wireless chargers on the market. Why should we choose MagSafe?
The reasons we choose it
The MagSafe Charger can provide faster wireless charging up to 15W. It’s also compatible with Qi charging, so you can use it to charge your other wireless charging devices, such as AirPods in the wireless charging case, and Android phones.
And most important, the embedded magnets circle in all 4 new iPhones will perfectly connect them with the MagSafe charger. When iPhone 12 moves near to MagSafe Charger, it will jump up to clip on and begin to charge your phone. With it, you will never have the trouble that your phone runs out of battery because you misplaced it on a charging pad. Meanwhile, it allows you to use your phone when you charge it wirelessly, as the way charging through Lightning port.
MagSafe Charger for iPhone 12 series is not that ‘safe’
Before the release of iPhone 12, we will think about MacBook when talking about MagSafe Charger. The first MagSafe came out with MacBook Pro. It connected magnetically to the laptop, therefore, if you tripped over the power cord accidentally, the cord will pop clear and your MacBook will be safe on the desk.
Apparently, the new MagSafe Charger is not what we think supposed to be. Of course, it’s a magnetic power connector, but without the concept of ‘safe’. You will know it from the video from Jonathan Morrison that MagSafe Charger clings on the iPhone 12 Pro so tightly that you can swing it around. It’s the opposite of the old MagSafe. If you simply want to have a normal wireless charging pad, you can choose a third-party one to save some money. Does iPhone 12 have long battery life?
