Huawei P30 and its siblings have been announced for several days, they have now been thrust into the limelight with the most anticipated super camera performance and other impressive features, including the big battery capacity and longevity. Huawei P30 sports a battery pack of 3650 mAh and for P30 Pro, the number goes up to 4200 mAh. Huawei P30’s battery capacity is slightly higher than Samsung Galaxy S10 ( 3400 mAh ) and its predecessor Huawei P20 ( 3400 mAh ). With the longer battery life and advanced fast charging technology, how long does it take to charge Huawei P30 and P30 Pro from 0% to 100%?

Does Huawei P30 / P30 Pro support fast charging? If so, how fast is it?

Yes, Huawei P30 supports 22.5W fast battery charging and P30 Pro supports more advanced 40W super fast wired charging and 15W wireless charging, respectively. Additionally, Huawei P30 Pro features the reverse wireless charging capability, just like Samsung Galaxy S10 and Huawei Mate 20 Pro.

With the industry-leading fast charging, does it mean you can charge Huawei P30 and P30 Pro much faster without any hassle? It depends on the charging adapter you use, if the charger included in the box doesn’t support fast charging like Apple, you may have to get a compatible branded fast charger to replace it. With respect to Huawei P30 Pro, the wireless charging speed is elevated to 15W, even with a bigger battery it only takes about 1.7 hours to get a full wireless charge, however, there are not many 3rd party made 15W fast wireless charging pad on the market currently, you may have to purchase the official Huawei model to enjoy the dashing fast charging speed.
