The Samsung Galaxy s8 and s8+ are proved to be the first phone hit the market with Bluetooth 5.0 wireless connectivity. Bluetooth technology, as we know, it is a popular way of wirelessly transferring data between devices such as your phone and your headphones or a speaker. So curiously, what can we expect from the Bluetooth 5.0 and how to connect Samsung Galaxy s8 to a Bluetooth Speaker?
What is better about Bluetooth 5.0?
Bluetooth 5.0 offers twice the transfer speed of the previous version—Bluetooth 4.2— as well as increases the capacity of data broadcasts by 800%, which means you can send and receive more data in a much more fast way.
With Bluetooth 5.0, you can enjoy a longer range which is over four times in comparison to that of Bluetooth 4.2. This is a quite useful standard for compatible Bluetooth speakers, enabling you to listen to music with devices far away.
Ready for the IoT
You must have heard something called IoT which refers to a network of real-world objects linked by the Internet and interacting through on-line services. The increased capacity and speed of Bluetooth 5.0 makes it easier to communicate with IoT devices.
Location and Navigation Services
Bluetooth 5.0 will add location and navigation functionality, so you won’t need to install an app or go through connection set-ups in order to receive specific location-based information from Bluetooth Beacons.
How to Connect Your Devices to a Bluetooth Speaker?
To connect your Samsung Galaxy s8 is not such a complicated thing, and there are a few tips to help you set up Bluetooth on your phone.
1. Turn the Bluetooth on. This is the initial step and simple to do. From a Home screen, tap Apps > Settings. Tap Bluetooth, and then tap ON/OFF to turn Bluetooth on or off.
2. Press and hold the Volume Up and Volume Down buttons on the speaker until the light on the front blinks green quickly.
3. Scan for Bluetooth Speaker. After turning both of your devices on, you should go to settings on your phone to tap Scan. By doing this, you will see your speaker display on the screen. Tap the displayed name, your device then automatically tries to pair with the speaker.
Only three steps will you get this job done! Now you can enjoy yourself in the music. However, while your speaker may work with your Bluetooth 5.0 device, it almost certainly won’t benefit from the extra capability. That is to say, you will invest on all-new Bluetooth 5-ready speaker to take advantage of its entire expanded feature set.

2.press “Scan” on the phone’s Bluetooth page.

If not working, try to reset JBL speaker or ask the customer service to verify if there’s any defect on it.
