The Great Palace, Wat Pho, and Wat Arun
The Great Palace is one of the most famous scenic spots in Bangkok. It attracts millions of tourists each year for its shiny buildings (which is the symbol of Thai architecture), and exquisite craftsmanship. The Great Palace is used for official state function and you are not allowed to go into the palace. But you are enough to be shocked by its appearance.
If you visit The Great Palace, you shall not miss the Wat Pho and Wat Arum which near to The Great Palace. Wat Pho is home to the famous reclining Buddha and massage school as well as one of the famous golden Buddha where you can see complex city blocks and magnificent status. And then you can head across the river to Wat Arum for a splendid view of the city from atop of the temple.
Bangkok is known as Buddhism, as the holy land of Buddhist, there are countless temples. Just choose some you like to visit. Golden Mount Temple, Wat Benchamabophit and Wat Traimit are recommended to have a see. Going there you will be thrown into a real religious world and immersed in yourself wandering Buddhism activities.
Bangkok National Museum
National Museum will be definitely in the list of travel Bangkok. Museum is always a good place to have a better understand of a country’s culture and civilization. As the largest museum of Asia, Here you’ll have an overview of Thai art and history.
Life & Entertainment
Bangkok is not a city you can travel one or two days, stay for a longer time you will fall in love with it. It is a city has more than a few days’ worth of temples and museums. You can have a lot of entertainment here and eat various delicious foods.

Khao San Road
Khao San Road is a must for almost every backpacker. It is a short street, but full fills all sorts of entertainment. If you are tired of temples, then this place will be your paradise. You can find endless bars, shops, tempting food and international restaurants. Enjoy yourself in the local activities and come across some other travelers. Meanwhile, it’s a good place to pick up many of buses that leave for other places of Thailand.
Chatuchak Weekend Market
Shopping is a way of travel. Seems no one will back home with buying nothing.You deserve a unique market—- Chatuchak Weekend Market. As you can tell from the name, it is a market which opens on Saturday and Sunday. It is not only an attractive place for travelers, but also popular among the locals. If you don’t mind the crowds, you can enjoy bargaining with vendors.
Nowhere would be the best place for you to leisure and take work but Lumpini Park. It is to Bangkok as Central Park is to New York. After several tiring run and rush, you get a good place to have a rest where far away from noisy street and traffic congestion. Just come to this open space and greenery, find a bench or picnic table and watch the time pass by.
The Chao Phraya River
Comparing to land vehicles, lean on the boat floating in the river should be more a cozy way to fill you leisure time. The Chao Phraya River meanders its way right through the heart of Bangkok and adds to the charm and appeal of this bustling metropolis. At night, you can rent a boat and travel by yourself with a glass of red wine seeing the city reversing through.
