Nowadays, the Samsung Galaxy S24 is more and more popular among young people. It not only has a stylish design, but also has complete functions. We all know battery is crucial to a phone, so how about the battery life of the Galaxy S24? The battery of this phone is durable. If you’ve been using the S24 on Wi-Fi all day, you’ll probably only need to recharge it until the next morning to get 5-6 hours of screen time. The Galaxy S22 can’t come close to that.

If you use it for a few hours on 4G or 5G, the S24 can last well into the night on a single charge, if you use it moderately. But it becomes less reliable and you have to make sure you have a charger lying around. For a flagship phone with a 3,900 mAh battery, that’s to be expected no matter how much you optimize the internals. Likewise, the battery life of the S24 is significantly better than that of the S21 or S22.
In the charging test, the Galaxy S24 also performed well. Samsung seems to have changed the way the phone charges for the first half hour or so. Like the S22, the S24 only supports 25W charging, but with the battery starting at around 3%, it was able to hit a 61% charge in 30 minutes.
Meanwhile, the Galaxy S22 barely made it to 50% in the same amount of time. But as far as charging to 100% is concerned, things seem to remain the same. The S24 hit 96% charge in 60 minutes, but then it took another 10-12 minutes to get the 4% it needed to reach 100%, which is what the Galaxy S22 did as well.
In the real world, the charging speed should be more than enough for most people, so I’m not going to disparage Samsung for not playing the numbers game like the Chinese manufacturers, but rather applaud it for sticking to the fast but winning charging speeds too affecting the battery lifespan.
