Both huawei customer care and local networks are unable to assist in the conversion in SouthAfrica. This is particularly frustrating as some units come standard in dual sim functionality. Can Huawei international assist please. Single sim tray is such a bore.

If there’s some kind of single tray version I guess the carries might modify it. it’s not easy for you to modify it back, for example, the Mate 10, you had to rebrand it and flash another firmware to go from single to dual sim

128mb or 256mb looks good enough. More space can be archived using OTG and Cloud memories. It is a safe option if you loose your phone.

Hi Ruan, The UK version is single sim and a duel sim insert wouldn’t work.This was the same for the mate 10 pro.You would need to get the European phone for the dual sim. This is not that clear and would only be confirmed by visiting a UK store and viewing the sim slot at launch but it always seems to be the single sim in the UK.

Not All Huawei P20 models have dual sim tray support. My Huawei P20 Pro model (CLT-L04) only had One Sim Tray slot…
