Apple has announced brand new MacBook Pro laptops at an event in San Francisco on 27^th October, 2016. MacBook Pro, both 13-inch and 15-inch, has basic model and high-end model.

Both basic and high-end models feature USB-C ports and Retina display. But only high-end models have a multi-touch ‘Touch Bar’, a versatile strip display that replaces the escape, function keys and power keys of a regular QWERTY keyboard. Touch Bar also possesses a Touch ID sensor, same as Touch ID on iOS devices. Users could unlock MacBook Pro, switch user and pay your bill online though Touch ID without enter any password. It means the MacBook Pro become the third Apple product including this technology after iPhone and iPad.

I want a MacBook Pro, how about the price?

MacBook Pro has two different sizes, 13-inch and 15-inch, and two selectable color, space gray and silver. All of them are available for pre-order and free of shipping.

You could pay only $1299 for a 13-inch basic model without Touch Bar. If it is necessary, you can also spend $4798.98 for a customized 15-inch most high-end model having every advanced configuration for MacBook Pro.

Due to the customization service, the price range of MacBook Pro is large. So the price of your MacBook Pro depends on your choices. There are several configurations which provide options, processor, memory, capacity, Graphics, keyboard and documentation and pre-installed software.

Processor: There is no need to pay for base configuration. But each model has at least one more processor type for preference. You could pay $100 to $300 for a higher configured processor.

Memory: All models of MacBook Pro have two system memory types, 8GB and 16GB. If you choose 16GB memory, you will pay extra $200.

Capacity: The basic storage capacities of different models are various from 128GB to 512GB. Obviously, 15-inch model has larger basic storage capacity than 13-inch. And options of storage capacity for 15-inch MacBook Pro are also larger than 13-inch model, largest capacity of which is 1TB, even up to 2TB, but it will cost you at least $1200.

Graphics: Only 15-inch model with Touch Bar has Graphics option. They are Radeon Pro with 2GB memory and Radeon Pro with 4GB memory. 4GB one will cost you $200.

Pre-Installed Software: Both Final Cut Pro X($299.99) and Logic Pro X($199.99) can be pre-installed on 13-inch or 15-inch model.

As for the new laptops, it is also the first time a MacBook Pro will not include standard USB ports, with models featuring 4 USB-C ports (13-inch basic model without Touch Bar just has 2 USB-C ports).
