Batteries are everywhere so it’s no surprise that you are doing it all wrong if you are following some long outdated battery myths.
For instance you may heard that you should store batteries in the fridge or you should let them completely died before you charge them up again, or be careful not to overcharge it.
Well, none of these things are actually true.
-
Over charging
Most batteries in smart phones and laptops are smart enough to know when to stop charging. So once they are completely charged, the power would be cut off.
-
Completely drain before charging it up again
Actually if you let your batteries drain every day, it will reduce their effectiveness overtime.
-
First time charging
You don’t need to charge the device firstly when you got it. This myth came from the days when fully charging a device helped batteries calibrate. Today, most batteries calibrate themselves, (eliminating the need to fully charge them) so you can go ahead and fully charge them, but you are mostly just wasting your time.
